About Us

Hope & The Holidays was created to lift up our neighbors and relieve some of the stress of the holiday season by ensuring children of all ages, infant through 18, receive gifts and experience the magic of the holidays.

A Collaborative Partnership

Hope & The Holidays is comprised of the Marine Corps League, Lions, Vietnam Veterans, Kiwanis, and American Legion. 100% volunteer-based, the Organization has stood as a beacon of hope and generosity in Southwestern Montana since its founding in 2010. Originally formed as a partnership between the Marine Corps League, local Kiwanis clubs, local Lions clubs, and the American Legion; the Vietnam Veterans joined Hope & the Holidays in 2017 and the local Elks club joined as an affiliate member. These organizations rounded out Hope & The Holidays, creating a lasting partnership.

Annual Toy Distribution

Our annual toy distribution is a community effort powered fully by volunteers and fueled by gift and monetary donations. Starting in November, our many volunteers collect new, unwrapped toys via donation boxes distributed around town, and a temporary (yet amazing!) toy store is set up at Billion Nissan in Bozeman, MT. Over several weeks, approximately 90 people volunteer mega-hours assisting with picking up toys, scheduling, delivering, shopping, setup, teardown, and helping distribute the toys.

Broadwater, Gallatin, Jefferson, Madison, Park, and Sweetgrass counties are served through our organization. Any family in need with children ages 0 - 18 is welcome to shop for gifts for the holidays. Appointments can be scheduled via Santa’s hotline starting after Thanksgiving.

In 2023 alone, our dedicated team provided multiple gifts to 1,422 children, supported 584 families, and distributed 325 holiday food baskets.

Annual Golf Scramble

Our Annual Golf Scramble for the Kids is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Held the first Friday after Labor Day at the Bridger Creek Golf Course, this is a fun event with teams coming back year after year. See you at the scramble!

Each year, Hope & The Holidays is thrilled to join One Valley Community Foundation's Give Big Gallatin Valley. This 24-hour celebration of giving was created to connect community members to the causes they care about the most. Please join us in giving big!
